Website speed optimization that keeps the look

A slow site loses visitors before they read a word, and Google measures it. We find what is slowing your pages, fix it in the code without changing the design, and show you the numbers before and after.

Ask for a speed check
01

Measure first

We start with two kinds of data. Field data is what Google records from real visitors in Chrome, and it is what counts for search. Lab data is a controlled test that shows why a page is slow. We measure your main templates on phones and desktops and note what is costing the most time.

What's included

  • Core Web Vitals from Search Console and PageSpeed Insights
  • Lab tests on phone and desktop
  • The scripts, images and fonts that cost the most
  • A short report with what to fix first
02

Fix what slows the page

Most slow sites share the same causes: large images, too many fonts, styles and scripts that block the first paint, third-party tags, and heavy effects running on every frame. We fix them in the code, and we keep the design as it is unless you ask for a change.

What's included

  • Image sizing, modern formats and lazy loading
  • Fonts and render-blocking styles
  • Script loading and third-party tags
  • Animations and 3D that run smoothly on weaker devices
03

Prove it

You get the numbers from before and after on the same pages, measured the same way. Field data takes about 28 days to fully reflect a change, so we check Search Console again once it has.

What's included

  • Before and after report
  • A list of every change made
  • A field data check after about four weeks
04

Keep it fast

Sites slow down again as plugins, apps and tracking tags pile up. If you add website management, we watch the numbers each month and catch a slow change before it costs you visitors.

What's included

  • Monthly Core Web Vitals check
  • Review of new plugins, apps and tags
  • Fixes when a score drops

What we did on our own site

kryloweb.com has a 3D scene on its homepage, which is about as heavy as a business site gets. When we first ran it through PageSpeed Insights, desktop performance scored 64 and Total Blocking Time was more than 20 seconds, because PageSpeed tests on machines without a graphics card.

After the work, the same desktop test scores 91 with a Total Blocking Time of 0 milliseconds, and the scene looks the same for visitors with a normal graphics chip. We wrote up what worked and what didn't on the blog.

Common questions

What are Core Web Vitals?
Three measurements Google uses to judge how a page feels to use: Largest Contentful Paint (how fast the main content appears, good under 2.5 seconds), Interaction to Next Paint (how fast the page responds to a tap or click, good under 200 milliseconds) and Cumulative Layout Shift (how much the layout jumps, good under 0.1).
Will speed work change how my site looks?
No. The fixes go into images, code and loading order. If something can only get faster by changing the design, we tell you and let you decide.
Do you work on WordPress and Shopify sites?
Yes, and on custom coded sites. On WordPress the biggest wins are usually plugins, page builders and images. On Shopify they are apps and theme scripts.
Can you promise a score of 100?
No. A lab score depends on the test machine and on things outside the site, such as a slow chat widget you need to keep. We promise the work and show you the numbers before and after.
How much does speed optimization cost?
It depends on the size of the site and what is slowing it down, so we quote after we have measured it. The price is agreed before we start.
