Technical SEO services & website audits

Technical SEO is the work that lets search engines find, read and index your pages. We audit your site, fix what is holding it back, and then plan content around what your customers search for.

Technical SEO audit

We crawl your site the way a search engine does and check what it can reach and index: robots rules, canonical tags, redirects, status codes, duplicate pages, the sitemap, how pages render on a phone and Core Web Vitals. You get a prioritised list in plain language, with what to fix first and why.

What's included

  • Crawl and indexing checks
  • Redirects, status codes and duplicate pages
  • Core Web Vitals and mobile checks
  • A prioritised fix list

Fixes, not just a report

Most problems an audit finds are in the code, so we fix them. On sites we build or can work on directly, we make the changes and test them. Where the site is run by someone else, we write the fixes up so a developer can apply them without guessing.

What's included

  • Titles, descriptions and headings
  • Canonical tags, robots rules and sitemaps
  • Structured data (JSON-LD)
  • Speed fixes
03

Site structure and content plan

We work out which pages should exist for the searches that matter to your business, with one main topic per page, and how those pages link to each other. Then we plan the content that fills the gaps, so each new page has a job.

What's included

  • Keyword research and page mapping
  • Internal linking
  • Content briefs for writers
  • Targeting for one country or several
04

Local and international visibility

For a business that serves a city, we set up the Google Business Profile, local listings and the structured data behind them, and keep the name, address and phone number identical everywhere. For a business serving several countries, we check that language and region signals are correct.

What's included

  • Google Business Profile and Bing Places
  • Local business structured data
  • Directory listings with consistent details
  • hreflang for sites with regional versions

What SEO can and can’t promise

Nobody can promise a ranking. Search results depend on your competitors, your content and the links pointing at you as well as on the site itself. What technical SEO does is remove the problems that stop good pages from being found.

We measure progress with Google Search Console data: pages indexed, impressions, clicks and the searches behind them. We agree on which of those to watch at the start.

From the audit you receive a written report, a spreadsheet of every issue with its priority and the page it affects, and a short plan for what to do first. If we make the fixes, you also get a list of what changed so you can check it. If the plan includes content, you get a brief for each page: the search it targets, the questions it must answer and the pages it should link to.

Common questions

How long does SEO take to show results?
A new page or a new site usually takes weeks to be indexed and months to rank for competitive searches. Technical fixes can show up in Search Console sooner. After the audit we tell you what to expect for your site.
Can you do SEO for a site you didn't build?
Yes. We start with a technical audit of the site as it is, fix what's holding it back, then plan content around the searches your customers make.
What do you need from me to start?
Access to Google Search Console and analytics if you have them, plus the pages and searches you care about most. If you don't have the accounts yet, we help you set them up.
Do you guarantee a first-page ranking?
No, and be careful with anyone who does. We can promise the work: a thorough audit, the fixes, a content plan and honest reporting on the numbers.
Will the audit change how my website looks?
No. Fixes go into titles, markup, redirects, speed and site structure. The design stays as it is unless you ask for a redesign, and we tell you first if an issue can't be fixed without one.
What is technical SEO?
Technical SEO is the part of search optimisation that happens in the site itself, not in the writing: whether search engines can crawl your pages, understand what each one is about, and load them quickly on a phone. It covers things like redirects, canonical tags, sitemaps, structured data and Core Web Vitals.
Do you offer SEO as a one-off audit?
Yes. The audit is a piece of work on its own, with a fix list you can hand to any developer. Many clients then ask us to make the fixes and plan the content.
